Recently I started using an AI tool to transcribe interview materials and to summarize them. I wonder if you can capture the audio part of the video and feed it to an AI transcription tool for Chinese transcription? Does that even exist? Just curious.
I use AI for work a lot! Definitely helps a lot with transcribing. Yes, you can feed audio to AI tool to produce Chinese text. Subtitle edit does this, but it really depends how clear the speaker is, and you know how Chinese accents can be like. I think native Chinese AI applications will be far far better.
I also use AI a lot for work, mostly to summarise my Jira tickets and produce a weekly report. What used to take me an hour or two is now done in minutes. It's pretty great.

About accents. Malaysian Mandarin accents are said to be very crisp and
sharp which compounds our difficulty in understanding the lazier drawls of some mainland accents 😭
I understand how Malaysian Mandarin sounds like. Similar to Indonesian Mandarin accent, right? I grew up listening to it all the time (my dad). I prefer to speak it as it requires less straining of the tongue 😅
I prefer foreign films in their original language with English subtitles. They feel more authentic than the voiceover ones. We used to watch Chinese films with voiceover.
I've learnt a few phrases in Hindi watching Indian films with English subtitles.
BTW, is the English subtitle added by you? You did a great job! I was surprised to see the Hangzhou business in "Blossoms" also starring in this show.
