My godbrother told me that nowadays, Chinese schools are more like the days when we were in national schools—they have a healthier mix of different races. I am delighted by this, but I also know that in reality, there are not enough of these schools for everyone, so the majority will still be segregated. Well, at least we are heading in the right direction, right? Maybe?

Substack's payment model is indeed a bit too rigid and too flat for the world. I do not have a solution, so I will see how this pans out.

Language—it is funny how the people here are asking me if I am afraid that my children will "mix up" the languages that I am bombarding them with. I am "What lah? That is a skill, kan?" XD

Yes, exactly my thought. I don't worry that my children code-switch in a sentence, I find it great! :) but unfortunately for them, they can mostly only do it with me :)
